EASTBOURNE 65 POTTERS 27

STOKE Easy Rider Potters were thrashed 65-27 in the City Gearboxes National League encounter against Eastbourne at the Arlington Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

In a meeting dominated by the home side the Eagles producing eight 5-1 maximum heat victories three of them being in the opening three heats of the meeting before Lee Payne and Shaun Tedham managed to halt the flying Eagles as they filled the minor placings with the Potters trailing 18-6 after four heats.

Lee Payne was nominated as a tactical ride in heat six but could only managed second place for a 4-4 drawn heat as the Eagles piled on the misery for the Potters septet.

Skipper Jon Armstrong claimed the Potters only race victory of the afternoon but partner Payne retired from the race and the same pairing managed to fill the minor placings in the final race.
