POTTERS v MILDENHALL - PREVIEW

Thursday 07 June, 2018
STOKE entertain the Mildenhall Fen Tigers in the Travel Plus National League at Loomer Road on Saturday night, 7pm.

The. A.R. Richards Potters will return to full strength on Saturday with the return of Rob Shuttleworth who missed Monday’s defeat through work commitments with Josh Embleton retaining his place for the injured William O’Keefe.

The Potters will be looking to return to winning ways against a Tigers side that failed to win around the Loomer Road circuit on three occasions last season, although the Suffolk club has started the season well with many pundits tipping them to honours this season.

Mildenhall will be without Daniel Halsey for the clash and will operate rider replacement to cover for his absence. Josh Bailey leads the Fen men into action and he gets solid support from Danny Ayres with skipper Ryan Kinsley providing support along with Sam Bebee. It’s at reserve that the Tigers have had the advantage against most teams this season with Matt Marson and teenager Drew Kemp who scored 9 points on his first ever visit to the Chesterton circuit while riding for Cradley in the National Trophy beating Potters number one Max Clegg in the process.

Potters co-team manager Adam Isherwood said “We will need to be on our toes early on in this meeting as Mildenhall are a very good team and will be difficult to beat. If we can get our noses in front in the opening heats then hopefully we can then push on and win the meeting but we will certainly need to be on our metal on Saturday. All the lads are up for this meeting as we look to bounce back after the defeat against Kent and we will hopefully get the result we want. We will give Mildenhall the respect they deserve and I am aware that they are saying it is a must win meeting for them here on Saturday but I do feel our riders are more than capable of getting a result.”
