Friday 29 December, 2017
STOKE continue the revamp to their side with the return of Rob Shuttleworth to Loomer Road after three seasons away from the Potteries.

Shuttleworth had his first full season with the Potters back in 2014 before he moved to Coventry Storm before moving to the National Speedway Stadium with the Belle Vue Colts last season winning the National League title with the Manchester outfit, he also rode for the Workington Comets last season in the SGB Championship.

The Potters though have made no secret of their desire to bring the Cumbrian back to Loomer Road and have tailed him for the past few seasons and Stoke promoter Dave Tattum could not hide his delight at finally getting Rob back to the Potteries saying “I’m really pleased that we have finally managed to get Rob back here to Stoke. He has improved steadily over the past couple of seasons and gained a league championship medal with the Belle Vue Colts last season and I really believe that 2018 will be a huge season for Rob. He has plenty to offer the club rides Loomer road well and in crowd favourite already with Stoke supporters with many still following his progress as we have with other clubs.”

Shuttleworth joins the Potters on an 8.08 average.
