POTTERS v MILDENHALL - PREVIEW

Friday 19 August, 2016
STOKE entertain the Mildenhall Fen Tigers in the Travel Plus National League at Loomer Road on Saturday night, 7pm.

The A.R. Richards Potters have already lost out to the Tigers this season losing out in the final three heats to lose 51-39 at West Row last Saturday night.

Lee Geary deputises for Chris Hay while Shaun Tedham returns to the side after missing the meeting seven days ago.

The Tigers are spearheaded by former Potters skipper and veteran racer Jon Armstrong who joined the Tigers over the closed season. He is well supported by Daniel Halsey and Connor Coles who have been in good form this season while Alfie Bowtell riders at four with the Fen men using rider replacement for former Potter Kyle Hughes who has a broken collarbone. At reserve the Tigers have Sam Bebee and Taylor Hampshire.

Potters team manager Malcolm Vasey commented “I feel we have the firepower to beat Mildenhall around our home track and will be looking for three points against them. I was disappointed not to come away with a point last Saturday at West Row as I felt we deserved something out of the meeting, but we fell short in the final few heats and it cost us dearly. They have riders that go well around here especially their top three and I feel we have the edge lower down the order and I will be looking to end the losing streak we have recently been on and to get back to winning ways on Saturday night.”
