POTTERS DUO IN 2019 F.A.S.T GOLDEN HAMMER, at Wolverampton

Sunday 27 October, 2019
STOKE skipper Tom Perry and Joe Lawlor are both in action on Monday night in Cradley’s 2019 F.A.S.T. Golden Hammer at Monmore Green, 7.30pm.

The pair have previously ridden for Cradley in the National League before joining the Potters this year and will be the last Stoke riders to take to the track before the club officially closes at the end of the season.

The duo will come up against home favourite and former Stoke skipper Max Clegg who has being scoring well for the black country club and other home riders such as Dan Halsey and Luke Harris. Also, in the field is former double National League riders champion Ben Morley, Nathan Greaves who knows the track well having rode for Wolverhampton and Cradley and Jason Edwards who regularly rides the tricky Monmore circuit well.

Lawlor commented “It’s an honour to ride in such a prestigious meeting as the Golden Hammer a lot of top riders have won this meeting in years gone by and it would be fantastic to be able to get my name on the trophy at the end of the meeting.

“Both Tom (Perry) and I know the track well at Monmore so it doesn’t hold any fears for us and to be honest all the pressure is on Cradley number one Max Clegg as he is the favourite to win the meeting so that takes the pressure off the rest of the boys in the field being honest, so we will go out there and see how things go and hopefully I will be in the mix at the end.”
