POTTERS LOOKING FOR THREE POINTS

Thursday 25 July, 2019
PATCHED up Stoke entertain the Belle Vue Colts in the National League at Loomer Road on Saturday night, 7pm.

The Potters look to get back into the hunt for a play-off place and will need to dig deep in order to send the Colts back to Manchester empty handed.

The Potters have drafted in Kent’s Drew Kemp as a replacement for injured skipper Tom Perry who has been told to rest after hurting his back in the defeat at Kent on Monday while Joe Lawlor is on Championship duty with Leicester with former Potter David Wallinger covering for his absence. Former Buxton rider Kieran Douglas comes in as a unattached 2-point rider for last seasons’ Hitmen team mate Corban Pavitt who has pulled out of the side due to personal reasons. One bit of good news though is Luke Priest returns to the side and takes up the captaincy for the evening.

Priest commented “It’s going to be a tough meeting, but then again all matches are tough and we have some great replacements in Drew (Kemp) and David (Wallinger) coming in for Tom and Joe and they will give everything to help us win the meeting. We’ve been in good form at home recently and I’m sure that the supporters will also get behind us, and I see no reason why we can’t take the victory on the night.”
