JACK TAKES HIS PLACE IN SEASON OPENER

Monday 25 March, 2019
STOKE On Trent based Jack Smith is the latest rider to be announced as a competitor in the 2019 Pride of the Potteries.

Stoke born Smith will ride in the Championship with Redcar and has plenty of experience being a National League title winner with Birmingham in 2016 and Belle Vue in 2017 and he captained the Colts last season. Amongst other titles he has also won the National trophy with the Brummies’ and also won the National League KO Cup with the Colts.

Potters co-promoter and team manager Adam Isherwood commented “Jack is a winner like many other riders in the field despite still being a youngster and has ridden at the top level of the sport with the Belle Vue Aces and Swindon and he most certainly knows his way around Loomer Road and is more than capable of being in the mix at the end of the meeting. The line-up is coming together nicely and there are several riders who are capable of taking the title on the night and I’d say it is one of the strongest fields that we have had for the Pride of the Potteries for a number of years and I hope that supporters will come along and support the event as I’m sure it is going to be a great meeting.”
