TEENAGER PAVITT JOINS POTTERS

Sunday 09 December, 2018
STOKE are delighted to announce the signing of sixteen-year-old Corban Pavitt who links up with the Potters after spending last season with Buxton.

Pavitt joins the Chesterton based club on a 2.87 average and assistant team manager Adam Isherwood believes the teenager is quite capable of adding to his starting average commenting “Corban came on a lot last season despite suffering a couple of injuries and the difference between the start of last season to the end was a huge difference. He is a rider we’ve seen develop with Buxton and he impressed us significantly enough to earn a guest booking for us against Eastbourne but was unable to take his place due to injury and we believe he will be a great asset along with Joe Alcock in the reserve berths of the team at the start of the 2019 season.”

Pavitt, who turns 17 later this month said “I’m looking forward to racing for Stoke next season especially as I enjoy racing at Stoke and I feel really comfortable around the Loomer Road track. I think the team line-up looks strong and I’m sure that we will be able to put on a good show against any team in the league and I’m happy that Stoke have given me the opportunity to be part of it. I don’t know many of the lads at this moment in time but I’m sure we will have a great team spirit in the pits and hopefully we can have a great season.
“Personally, I feel that I can add to my average and I am also looking to force my way into the main body of the team.”
