CHESSELL SIGNS FOR 2019

Wednesday 05 December, 2018
LUKE Chessell is the third new signing for the 2019 Stoke Potters to be confirmed by the club.

Chessell had been scheduled to link up with the Potters at the beginning of last season and would have been the number one for the Loomer road outfit before he sustained serious injuries in the USA which resulted him missing the whole season. Chessell who last rode for Cradley in 2016 links up with the Potters on a 6.80 average which means he won’t go into the number one slot.

Potters promoter Dave Tattum commented “I’m delighted to have Luke on board for next year especially after the look he had just prior to last season which ruled him completely out. Once he was able to get out and about Luke was down here at the track on race nights always trying to help out where he could and he is a real team player and one you would want in a team. He had a great season the last time he rode and he believes that he can have a great year with Stoke next season. Luke has ridden for us before back in 2013 and he believes that he can regain that form for us.
Tattum continued “Malcolm Vasey, Adam Isherwood, Caroline Pearson and I firmly believe we are assembling a team that will be pushing for honours this season and firmly believe that the riders we’ve already announced now and the ones to be announced will please our supporters and hopefully see them challenging for trophies in 2019 and that is important to us.”

Completing his signing for the Chesterton based club Luke Chessell said “I cannot thank Dave Tattum enough for sticking by me and I’m really pleased to be back at Stoke. It is a track I enjoy racing at and I’m confident of improving on my starting average of 6.80. I feel the management are putting together an excellent team that will not only entertain on the track but also be pushing for silverware at the end of the season.
“Like all riders at this time of year I’d be interested in hearing from anyone that would be interested in sponsoring me for the new season, I’m in the process of buying new bikes in readiness for the season and no matter how small or large the sponsorship maybe every little helps at the end of the day.
