CLEGG TAKES RIDER OF THE YEAR TROPHY

STOKE skipper Max Clegg took the 2018 rider of the year as voted by the club’s supporters.

Clegg who has been influential for the Potters also took the fastest time of the season award along with most maximums by a Potters rider for the season.

Reserve and local youngster Joe Alcock took the most improved rider of the year trophy and finished runner-up to Clegg in the rider of the year award.

All the riders where awarded with a trophy for representing the club at a well-attended end of season awards evening at Holditch Workingmen’s club in Chesterton.

The popular Clegg commented “I’m delighted to have won the rider of the year, but there are a lot of people that work behind the scenes that make it all happen from my Dad, mechanics, sponsors to the people that prepare the track and all the volunteers that turn up week in week out to allow us to race and of course the supporters.”
