Thursday 13 September, 2018
STOKE embark on two matches in the space of two days when they make the long trek South to Devon to face the Plymouth Devils in the Travel Plus National League on Friday night, 7.15pm at the St. Boniface Arena before moving onto Eastbourne on Saturday night.

The Potters have drafted in Kent’s Anders Rowe for the meeting with the Devils, while continuing to utilise rider replacement for Rob Shuttleworth.

Plymouth have injuries issues also and have brought in Nathan Stoneman for Ellis Perks who broke his ankle on Tuesday night while appearing for Cradley in the National Trophy Final. The Devil will also use rider replacement for former Potter Tim Webster, Stoneman will be well supported by Devils skipper Henry Atkins who has been superb around the Devon circuit and he will have back-up from Richard Andrews and another former Stoke rider in Ryan Terry-Daley while at reserve Adam Sheppard and Macauley Leek complete the home team.

Potters skipper Max Clegg said “Plymouth is a tight circuit where you really have to make some starts and we will need to be at our very best off the gate. Last Sunday gave the whole side a boost bringing a point away from the Coventry meeting and we will be doing our best to gain something from this meeting on Friday.”
