STOKE are back in Travel Plus National League action looking to get back to winning ways when they entertain the Isle of Wight at Loomer Road on Saturday night, 7pm.

The A.R. Richards Potters will be at full strength for the clash in a meeting which sees’ a couple of former Stoke riders in their line-up.

The Warriors are led into action by the experienced Ben Morley who is one of the top performers within the National League and rides the Chesterton circuit well. He is backed by new signing and an inform Alfie Bowtell who has been scoring points for fun recently with Scott Campos who has put in some solid performances this season completing the top three. Danno Verge and former Potters favourite Chris Widman are the second strings for the island-based side. Dale Lamb comes in at number six while former Potter Shaun Tedham completes the Warriors septet.

Potters skipper Tony Atkin commented “We are looking to bounce back after last weeks defeat against Mildenhall and the Isle of Wight are more of a team around us as this league is two leagues in one. We will be giving the Isle of Wight the respect they deserve but it is a meeting we feel that we can win. They have a couple of former Stoke riders in Chris (Widman) and Shaun (Tedham) and they will no doubt want to impress against us and they also have Ben Morley and Alfie Bowtell who form a powerful spearhead for them, but I’m sure that we can get back on track and get a valued win under our belts on Saturday.”
