MAX LOOKING FORWARD TO CHALLENGE

Thursday 01 March, 2018
STOKE number one Max Clegg is looking forward to the new season with the Potters starting in April and cannot wait to get started.

Clegg who joined the club last month after injury to Luke Chessell commented “I feel sorry for that Luke got injured but I’m looking to the challenge at Stoke. I like the track a lot and have scored plenty of points around Loomer Road as well as a couple of maximums and I will be looking to continue that in Potters colours this season. Having two clubs in Rye House in the Premiership and Stoke in the National League is perfect for me giving me extra time on the bike and keeps me in shape and I am really looking for a big season this year both personally and also with both of my clubs.”

Clegg has been drawn in the British U-21 semi final at Eastbourne where he will be looking to qualify for the final at Birmingham later in the season where he will be up against the likes of Zach Wajtknecht, James Shanes, Jordan Jenkins and Eagles favourite Tom Brennan and Clegg said “I feel I can go there and qualify for the final and I have the ambition to do that because I’m really looking to push myself even harder this season. I’ve won the British U-19 title and would like to add this to my CV and it puts my clubs in the spotlight also.

I’m currently working hard on my fitness and also looking to gain a few more bits of sponsorship if there is anyone out there that would like to come on board and help me, it doesn’t matter how big or small every penny helps if it helps me and my clubs get into the limelight then that would be brilliant and very much appreciated all anyone has to do is contact me via my facebook page or the Stoke facebook page.”
